It’s not Bonfire Night if Roundhay Park isn’t lit up by a spectacular firework display. Around 70,000 people turn up each year to see the bonfire lit at 7.30pm, with fireworks following at 8pm. They’ve also got a small children’s funfair and a load of food and drink vendors. Once that’s all done, you’ll be glad to know that there are some cracking pubs just a short distance away. There’s the Roundhay Fox to the east, The White House to the south and the likes of North Bar’s Preston and The Stew and Oyster in Oakwood – it’d be rude not to, right?
